10 years of love

Buddy just turned 10 in November. If you didnt get a invite to Buddy's birthday party, don't feel bad I didnt get invited either.

Buddys mom adopted him two months after her childhood rattie Lucky saddly crossed the rainbow bridge. We all know the late Lucky from the last newsletter put out. Buddy was meant to be with his new family because he was born the week Lucky passed.

As Buddy grew, he was like most puppies, fiesty and playful. Often ‘punching” his mom when he flew past doing a zoomie. At first Buddy's mom didn't know what zoomies were. She thought her rattie was stuck on ‘fast” mode as she started to wonder '“does this dog ever get tired?”

Buddy can be antisocial sometimes when he wants snuggles. I think we can all relate buddy! I too get grumpy with no cuddles.

Buddy loves to play with his family. Although Buddy is 10 years old he still can zoom around the house and hold his own versus the other dogs in the house.

Buddys favorite things to do are, eat and get cuddles. His mother says Buddy sounds like a “rabid raccoon “ when he gets to playing real hard! I'd watch out! Buddy stands all 4 paws on business.

Buddy had his DNA checked and like many ratties he was part chihuahua, one fourth to be exact. His tiny head and huge personality definitely prove that.

Buddys mother wanted to share that Buddy’s name fits him perfectly because he is a “true pal”.

Rat Terrier advice

If you are looking for a dog that will be by your side constantly, love you unconditionally, small, doesn't bark alot, easy to train, short hair, that is also extremely intelligent?

Then a rat terrier is the dog for you.

Rat terrier are by default very energetic dogs, its recommended that you walk them daily or have a big yard or dog park for zoomies. If you don't they will over time match your energy and just chill with you while you do whatever. My rattie Bubba doesn't care what I'm doing. Be it boring or not he just wants to be near me.

Rat terriers are agile dogs bred to hunt mice and rats. Most rat terrier dig so if you have a garden consider your flowers.
